Movement Medicine: An Introductory Course
Pilates-based Techniques for Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation
This six-month course is designed to give Pilates instructors the information and tools needed to work with common orthopedic diagnosis safely and effectively.
The curriculum includes a thorough review of anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics as well as information, assessments, exercise and Pilates based protocals for many commonly seen injuries and conditions. Each weekend will include:
- A warm-up on the mat or the reformer
- Lectures covering the anatomy and kinesiology of the area
- Information on common diagnoses
- Information on common structural imbalances
- Assessment tools
- Specific exercises and protocols
- Time to practice
- Time to share our knowledge
All class materials will be provided.

Upper Body May 9, 10 & 11, 2008
All days go from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Fee
$400 per 2 day module.
$600 per 3 day module.
